Environmentally Conscious

This Green Key certified resort has planted over 2,000 trees within the local community and maintains designated green areas in surrounding regions, alongside installing a third-degree water treatment facility which means every drop of wastewater is recycled and used on the gardens or supplied to local farmers. Guests can donate, sponsor and adopt animals in the Columbia Cat Care Project, which helps look after the stray cat population in Cyprus by neutering, vaccinating, feeding and grooming the cats. The resort also cares for nesting turtles on Pissouri Bay with protected boxes.

The entire resort was designed and built as an homage to traditional Cypriot villages, with its own chapel in the style of a Byzantine church and painted by a local artist, and a square at the Apollo Tavern where ‘Cypriot Nights’ are regularly held with local musicians and folk dancers. Guests are encouraged to hike or bike to the many nearby archaeological and cultural sites, with guided tours of the Kourion amphitheatre, Kolossi castle and Apollo Hylates temple in Limassol, and the UNESCO listed Kato Paphos with its ancient mosaics and first century odeon available on request.

Community spirit in Cyprus often goes hand in hand with food, gathering loved ones around the table to share some homemade produce. The resort’s Apollo Tavern captures this sense of community by sourcing its ingredients from local fishermen, cheesemakers, and wine merchants, while growing their own herbs and citrus fruits to accompany the traditional Cypriot menu with live cooking demonstrations in the ‘Chef’s Kitchen’ to promote regional cuisine. The resort’s Green Team also takes part in regular beach clean ups and hosts exhibitions for local artists in their Oval Gallery area.

The cuisine at the Columbia Beach Resort, under the direction of Chef de cuisine Ioannis Yiakoumides has established a reputation for a memorable dining experience in Cyprus. The in-house bakery creates a huge range of bread, rolls and other delicious treats and everything is fresh and warm each day.

Apollo Tavern Restaurant

Served Meals: Lunch, Dinner The breathtaking view from the Apollo Restaurants terrace across the sea towards Cape Aspro never dulls. The Mediterranean specialities and the best examples of local cuisine on offer at the Apollo are only enhanced by its location; on the Resorts West side; next to the All Saints Chapel overlooking the lawns. Your children will love the restaurant too. The special childrens menu there provides something for all our little guests.

Bacchus Italian Gourmet

Served Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Breakfast in the Bacchus restaurant is really very special. Firstly the magical location; choose the sun terrace next to the palm fringed pool or the stylish calm of the restaurant and then take time to linger over the huge array of dishes on offer. Then there is the choice; hot and cold first class; imaginative; a la carte gourmet cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef Polis Papageorgiou that satisfies even the most demanding of taste buds.

Cape Aspro

Served Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Named for the white cliffs that embrace Pissouri Bay; guests can enjoy the swim up Cape Aspro Pool Bar and for lunch Cypriot fuses with international delectable specialties whilst the evening meal; a sumptuous themed buffet; promises an array of flavours sure to satisfy even the most discerning of diners. All complete with a view overlooking the bay. Seasonal - operating during the summer months.
