Regional PR & Communications Manager EMEA
Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ is seeking a highly-motivated individual as part of its Global Public Relations & Communications team. The brand enjoys an excellent position in the global luxury travel market and this role requires a good understanding of travel and lifestyle industries. The ideal candidate will have at least three - four years’ experience, excellent media contacts and a creative flair.
Maximise brand awareness in target media within EMEA region
Ensure brand consistency in all PR and marketing activity
Provide input into strategic direction of global PR and marketing activity
Attend and coordinate media activities at international trade shows and SLH events
Compile presentations & speaking points for senior level SLH spokespersons
Manage and maintain exhaustive EMEA media database tailored to SLH
Coordinate activity with EMEA PR agencies with support from VP Global PR & Communications
Support in planning and executing world class media events: standalone, at international trade shows and SLH sales events
Draft compelling copy and upkeep of PR related documents (press releases, press kits, press pitches, round ups)
Foster excellent relationships with extensive EMEA media contacts (B2B and B2C)
Cultivate and maintain beneficial relationships with travel industry partners such as airlines and tourist boards to negotiate complimentary and media rate support
Coordinate individual media visits across the SLH hotel portfolio
Organise and attend group media visits to international destinations
Identify trends and topical news for use proactively and creatively to benefit the SLH brand
Track, analyse and maintain global press coverage & PR reports for distribution internally and to the hotels
Respond to the global day-to-day press enquiries via email@example.com and general email and telephone requests including those seeking information and pictures
Oversee firstname.lastname@example.org inbox for hotel story angles
Coordinate targeted advertorials, competitions / reader offers within media titles
Help cover general marketing tasks when required
Support marketing team to distribute marketing collateral to hotels
Reporting to VP Global PR & Communications
Desired Skills and Experiences
Three years of relevant experience within PR &/or Marketing division
Interest in luxury, hotels and travel an advantage
Experience in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce
