Starting with the Tikal and Caracol temples there are many ancient monuments and evocative sites to uncover in San Ignacio and its surroundings. Perhaps explore the cave systems. At Branch Mouth, Or wander through the parkland at Branch Mouth and watch birds circle overhead.

WATER
San Ignacio is serious waterfall territory. The Thousand Foot Falls, said to be the highest in Central America plunge over a plateau and the cascades are a spellbinding sight. Perhaps even more beautiful and breathtaking are the Big Rock Falls. See them at nearby Privassion Creek.
