Introducing Fort Lauderale

Fort Lauderdale may be known for its excellent beach, and rightly so, but there are plenty of other reasons to come to this delightful Florida city. From first-class restaurants to lively bars and clubs, exclusive shops to browse and deep sea fishing to enjoy, a short break here won’t seem long enough.

Things to do

BEACHES
Fort Lauderdale’s main beach is known as ‘The Strip’, where you’ll find lots of bars and restaurants to relax in along the golden sands. The locals come here to kick back and relax – why not join them?

WATER
With so many canals and waterways, boats will probably be a big feature of your time here. You can travel by water taxi, hire a boat or hop aboard one of the popular river cruises. Or just relax and watch the boats go by as you sip a Florida cocktail.

SPORTS
Get your legs working by hiring a bicycle to get around. Or, if you want to be more energetic, there’s golf, snorkelling, diving and deep sea fishing on offer. If you want to let others do the running around, try to catch an American Football game at the nearby  Dolphins Stadium.

Top Tip from SLH

If the car park for The Strip at Las Olas Boulevard is full, you’ll find lots more parking under the Las Olas Boulevard Bridge.
