Introducing Zürich

Stroll along avenues bordered by graceful townhouses, stopping to sample chocolates as you go. Admire Lake Zürich, set amongst alpine peaks. Shop the designer boutiques of Bahnhofstrasse. Enjoy an evening of contemporary theatre in the old converted Shiffbau factory or Bernhard-Theater. A city break in Zürich can be as peaceful or as lively as you make it.

Things to do

ART & CULTURE
The Dada Art Movement of the 1920s, which championed cultural chaos, originated here. In fact, you can still visit the movement’s main inspiration today – Cabaret Voltaire. Zürich is home to works by the world’s most revered artists, from Corbusier’s cubism to Matisse’s modernism. For a musical interlude, enjoy an evening of soul-stirring opera at the Opernhaus.

NATURE
Lake Zürich provides a peaceful backdrop to the city. A few minutes’ walk from your luxury hotel and you can be boating on its calm waters. And, as Swiss train travel is so efficient, a winter escape to the ski-perfect Bernese Oberland is a must for the adventure-minded.

FOOD & DRINK
Here, you’ll find Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants through to hip cocktail bars. And, of course, chocolate. Savour rich truffles and avant-garde flavours hand-crafted by one of the city’s chocolatiers. After a day exploring the alpine surroundings, enjoy a cup of warm, spicy Glühwein back at your boutique hotel.
