Environmentally Conscious

Protecting the precious Paknampran Bay and beyond is a resort-wide effort at Aleenta Hua Hin, with monthly green team meetings, organised beach clean-ups, and regular staff sustainability training on topics ranging from carbon footprint reduction to waste management. By switching to reusable glass bottles and refillable ceramic amenities, as well as following a rigorous ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ policy, the resort has saved 800,000 plastic drinking and bathroom bottles to date. Solar powered, timer controlled landscape lighting has been installed, and the resort’s orchid nursery supplies the hotel with floral decorations – avoiding the use and emissions of fresh cut flowers. Aleenta Resort heavily invests in local marine conservation and regeneration through the charitable foundation, Pure Blue, which supports two turtle sanctuaries – Koh Kloi and Thai Mueang - to rehabilitate injured turtles, plus protect nests and hatchlings of critically endangered species. Aleenta guests are encouraged to visit Khao Sam Roi Yot, Thailand’s first marine national park, and assist the rangers in reforesting the mangrove ecosystem. Locally guided nature tours of Pranburi Forest Park are also available, and guests can make use of the resort’s extensive selection of complimentary bicycle services to explore further - including route maps, pocket Wi-Fi, and bike stands.

Cultural Custodians

Thailand is renowned the world over for its intricate craftsmanship, culinary magic, and tranquil temples. Aleenta Hua Hin celebrates these cultural traditions by furnishing the rooms with decorative objects made by Thai woodworking artisans, such as beside tables and mirror frames, as well as offering cooking demonstrations and classes. Guests are guided by Aleenta chefs through the local market stalls, as well as the resort’s 25-acre organic farm, while learning how to extract aloe vera sap, fold pandan leaves, and collect eggs from the free-range chickens. The creatively inclined can join local painters at various artist enclaves such as Baan Silapin – a locally-run collective which features the works of Thai artists alongside offering creative workshops – and Hua Hin Arts & Crafts Centre, which encourages visitors to literally try their hand at making something using Thai techniques. Spiritually speaking, Buddhist temples (‘wats’) dot the landscape and are an integral part of Thai history and daily life. The resort recommends a number of local temples for guests to visit, including Wat Khao Kalok and Wat Khao Daeng, to experience centuries-old rituals and architecture firsthand, plus participating in cultural events such as The International Kite Festival, a kaleidoscope of colours and patterns.

Community Minded

Actively recruiting the Aleenta team from the local community, and cultivating long-held relationships with the team – several kitchen staff members have been with the resort for the best part of two decades - a familial spirit runs throughout the Aleenta experience. As part of its ongoing support for the community, Aleenta Hua Hin has ‘adopted’ Nhong Bua School to ensure the local children have access to a safe educational environment, in addition to providing books for the school library and organising nature-based activities for the students. This year’s initiative is to create a kitchen garden for children to pick fresh vegetables for their school lunches, as well as working with teachers on single-use plastic-free initiatives. While much of the resort’s produce comes from the on-site organic farm, including more than 50 herbs and seasonal vegetables, Aleenta purchases from small, local suppliers for the remaining ingredients – including Pranburi-grown pineapples and seafood from the Pak Nam Pran Fishermen Cooperative. To minimise the impact of water usage on its neighbouring communities, every Aleenta villa has its own water treatment system which utilises microorganisms and enzymes rather than harsh chemicals to treat the water.

Stay Small, Stay Considerate

The hotel has been single-use plastic free since 2019. Guests are provided with alternatives including stainless-steel water bottles, refillable organic toiletries made using essential oils and tote bags. The bar and restaurant are also single-use plastic free.
Guests can hop on one of the resort’s complimentary bikes and tour the eco-friendly way.
The turfed roofs of the villas not only keep each residence cool but also hide solar panels which heat the water for the rain showers. The water is then recycled to sustain the lawns and farm.
The resort practices carbon-free cooking – 90% of all food served comes from the organic farm, a community cooperative serving villagers as well as guests. Other food is transported by bike or tuk-tuks powered by recycled cooking oil. Food is cooked in solar ovens and smokehouses.
With Pure Blue Foundation the hotel supports schools like Baan Nong Ka School where students are taught about natural fertilisers, sustainable agricultural methods and how to reduce plastic in their daily lives. The hotel partners with Trash Hero Pranburi to clear litter from the local beach and nearby tourist attractions.

Located directly on the beach, great kitchen and extremely helpful and friendly staff. The spa is also very good. From the hotel you can book all kinds of activities and they provide bicycles for free. For kite surfers an ideal beach.
