The Lansdowne Kenmare

An elegant bolthole on Kerry’s wild and unspoilt Atlantic coast

In keeping with its origins as the town residence of the Earl of Shelbourne, The Lansdowne Kenmare is a refined, calming retreat set in the heart of the pretty heritage town of Kenmare. Surrounded by Kenmare’s bustling boutiques, quirky art galleries, and traditional Irish pubs, it’s been reimagined today as a stylish town hotel where you can expect a traditionally warm Irish welcome.

After active days out and about, retreat to your bedroom where crisp sheets, fluffy towels, elegant cabinetry and pops of colourful accessories provide welcome respite. Unwind in marble-lined bathrooms or sink into a soft chair and plan tomorrow’s adventures. Downstairs, welcoming staff ferry delicious, expertly crafted dishes to tables in the brasserie-style Dining Bar Terrace to fuel days in the open air. Refuel on home-baked cakes and rousing coffee in LK Café, round your day off with a chilled glass of wine in the LK Wine Bar or The Piano Lounge, or lift your gaze to the immaculate clear skies with a glass of brandy on the outdoor terrace on warmer nights.

Wonderfull hotel in a beautifull spot

We had a beautifull big room with a very comfortable bed. The staff were super friendly and helpfull and the food in the restaurant was delicious. It felt so Christmassy with all the lights and decorations up. Thank you for a lovely couple of days!

the staff and location is unmatched--perfection

We were welcomed straightaway by Danny and Mags. Mags naturally provided insights and recommendations for our daily exploration in the area, and we were able to maximize our experience while staying relaxed and chill the entire three days in the Kenmare area. Thank you Mags, you are amazing!

Quaint hotel with great service.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The location is perfect at the end of the street away from the crowds. The front desk was incredibly helpful with restaurant reservations and suggestions for local sites. Our only complaint was we stayed during a rare "heat" wave and the room was very warm. The hotel gave Read more[SPLIT]Read lessus a fan for the room but the room remained quite warm.

In the off season this hotel continues to deliver a world class dining in a beautiful seaside town.

Our off season honeymoon included five star hotels in Paris, London, Ireland, and this small hotel in it's sleepy seaside town. Landsdowne Kenmare delivered a consistent service that kept the pace of beautiful and comfortable accomodations along with amazing dining and bar experiance. Many of the Pubs Read more[SPLIT]Read lessand restaurants in town were closed for the winter but the Landsdowne continued it's service with aplom, including a localized menu with excellently prepared food. The hotel service itself was fast to respond, accommodating and friendly. Parking was simple and checkin easy the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
