Introducing San Diego

Boasting year-round sunny weather. ‘America’s Finest City’, San Diego, ticks every box for relaxation, adventure and entertainment. Enjoy the village atmosphere of Downtown, where everyone seems to be skating, jogging, cycling, or hanging out on the boardwalk. Visit the animals at the world-famous zoo. Then back in the luxury of your boutique hotel, watch the sun go down with a Cabrillo cocktail – named after the Spanish explorer who first sailed into San Diego Bay.

Things to do

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
From interactive art at the Children’s Museum to the thrills of the 93-year-old Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster, San Diego will keep any family enthralled for days. The expansive Balboa Park is home to the zoo, along with plenty of other attractions. There’s Legoland, Air & Space Museum and impressive dinosaur skeletons at the Natural History Museum – along with a giant-screen cinema.

WATER
The warm waters around San Diego are made for surfing, kayaking, sailing, jet-packing like James Bond, or simply swimming. If you fancy learning to paddleboard, head for the calmer stretches under the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. Then, when not people-watching on the Ocean Front Walk, look out for basking seals and California brown pelicans in Big Bay.

FOOD
Where award-winning craft beer meets spicy fish tacos and Mexican inspired Cali-Baja fine dining. It’s easy to taste why San Diego is considered one of America’s best cities for foodies. If you’re feeling peckish, grab some Carne Asada Fries. This all-in-one creation features strips of seasoned steak, sour cream, cotija cheese, guacamole and thin-cut fries. Or for a taste of the Med in Little Italy, order a freshly filled lobster roll, topped with brown butter mayo and crispy shallots.
