Introducing Jersey

The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey is a beguiling mixture of beautiful tranquil beaches and bustling urban style. St Helier is the capital town, with plenty of exclusive boutiques and fine dining restaurants, while there are plenty of nature trails, beaches, coves and paths to explore too. Take in the charm of Jersey before heading back to one of the best spa hotels Jersey has to offer.

Things to do

HISTORY
Jersey was occupied by the Germans in World War II, and the War Tunnels tell the moving story of the island’s plight. Here’s you find everything from artefacts to evocative sound recordings.

DRINK
The mild climate and good soil on Jersey makes this an excellent location for viniculture. Make time to visit the La Mare Wine Estate to take a tour and sample their locally produced wines at a private tasting.

NATURE
The naturalist Gerald Durrell set up his Wildlife Preservation Trust on the island to preserve species in danger. Today the Wildlife Park offers a great day out for all the family. And with almost 50 miles of coastline, you’ll have plenty of sandy beaches and craggy cliffs to cover.

Top Tip from SLH

The island is very bicycle friendly and just the right size to cycle round in an afternoon. Hire a bike from one of the many outlets in St Helier.
