BEACHES
With 700km of coastline and more than 60 beaches, Evia is a haven for the beach connoisseur. There are also numerous private coves that are ideal for sunbathing and swimming. For spectacular sunsets, visit the Evoikos Golfs of the west coast.
HISTORY
The history of Evia is long and complex, but you don’t need to be an expert to appreciate the fascinating evidence that stretches back to Neolithic times. Rich soil, and precious natural resources such as marble, copper and iron made the island wealthy and two of the largest cities of ancient Greece were here: Halkida and Eretria.
