Introducing Marbella

Just a few decades ago, Marbella was a sleepy fishing village. Now it’s a cosmopolitan beach resort and a favourite of the jet set. Relax on the beaches, or stroll along the famous yacht marina, then spend the night partying in an exclusive nightclub before heading back to your boutique hotel. Marbella ticks all the boxes.

Things to do

LANDMARKS
Marbella may be known as a modern tourist hotspot, but you’ll find lots of history here too. There are traditional whitewashed Andalusian buildings, an old Arab fortress and plenty of Moorish architecture.

SPORTS
With a staggering number of top quality courses in easy reach, plenty of people come to Marbella for the golf alone. But there are lots of other activities on offer – from horse riding to skiing.

SHOPPING
As a favourite destination for the stars, the likes of Versace and other high profile brands make sure they have exclusive outlets in Marbella. You’ll find shopping malls and department stores too.

Top Tip from SLH

If you’re visiting Gibraltar on a day trip, don’t forget to take your passport. You’ll need it to get through border control.
