Calm and beautiful

Not enough considered as a member of the club

We decided to return two nights at Chateau Les Vigiers to celebrate my birthday. They upgrade us in a Deluxe room in the chateau which was too dark for us. We finally choose to stay in a Superior room of the Relais to get a shower and a nicer view. It’s a modern building offering spacious rooms over Read more[SPLIT]Read lessthe beautiful golf course. I have been surprised to get any special attention for my birthday at the hotel and at their Michelin star restaurant Les Fresques. In addition, they charged for breakfast on the bill while I’m an Indulged member of SLH. I had to tell them that it is always included in the status. That being said, it is an excellent hotel with an outstanding golf course and amazing gourmet restaurant. It is a lost in the middle of nowhere so it’s a hard to diner outside, but it is also the charm of the place. We will return back next year as usual and hope that the SLH advantages will be respected next time.

Club House Brasserie

Served Meals: Lunch, Dinner The brasserie Le Chai is situated in our old wine making building and imparts the cordiality of its origins. Serves all the famous regional specialties such as Magret de Canard- Confit and home-made Foie Gras. A lighter lunch is also offered in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. You can dine outside under an ancient walnut tree while admiring the views of the lake- parkland and Chateau. On the cooler winter evenings the open fireplace adds to the warm atmosphere of the Chai.

Les Fresques

Served Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Gastronomic restaurant. One Michelin star. Les Fresques restaurant symbolises French gastronomy at the Chateau des Vigiers. Didier Casaguana- master of all seasons- cooks the best local and regional products with dexterity and delicacy. Ambassador of French gastronomy- Didier prefers to use local- small producers so as to offer you authentic dishes- passionately prepared. Our extensive wine cellar contains some of the finest wines in the Dordogne as well as many affordable vintages.

Bar Le Club

Served Meals: Lunch, Dinner The Bar Le 19 is situated in the East Wing of the Chateau- open from April to October. All manner of drinks are served here as well as light snacks from 11am to 7pm. The ideal place to relax after a golf game or to enjoy the beautiful sight-seeing or golf and many of our guests like to relax outside on the terrace overlooking the lake and watch the sunset- sipping a cocktail before dinner. Bar Le 19 is open daily from 11am to 7pm for drinks from April to October except Mon and Tue.

Spa

Housed in an atmospheric former wine making building, the Spa at Château des Vigiers is an Oasis of relaxation. You will find a complete range of professional health and beauty treatments in association with Sothys. The spa facilities include 3 treatment rooms, a sauna, jacuzzi, hydrotherapy pool, fitness centre and an outdoor heated swimming pool (open May to September).
