A delightful, rambling retreat in the 200-year-old artists’ hamlet of Ville-d’Avray, Etangs de Corot Hotel is set in a peaceful landscape of ponds, gardens and courtyards. It has 40 individually decorated rooms and three suites, great cuisine and a renowned art gallery, just minutes from Versailles.

Designed with Corot’s paintings in mind, the atmosphere Etangs de Corot is warm and relaxing. Every room is named after an artist who spent time in Ville-d’Avray and each is has its own colour palette; a fitting tribute to the artist who inspired Impressionism. Most of the rooms have views over the much-painted gardens and ponds with a forest in the distance.

We offer three choices of restaurants. Traditional bistro - Le Café des Artistes offers bistro dishes in a relaxed and warm atmosphere under the vaulted ceilings of the cellar. Open every day. Gourmet - Le Corot Restaurant, Michelin star awarded, showcases a gourmet cuisine in a classic setting. Open from Wednesday to Sunday. View - The terrace of Les Paillottes recalls the atypical guinguette of the late 19th century . Open from April to September on week-ends. Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday at lunch, a music group will play live for 3 hours.

Served Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner An authentic setting under the vaulted ceilings of the hamlet s cellar- the Cafe des Artistes is dedicated to various personalities who frequented Ville d Avray. Bistro dishes accompanied by a glass of wine served according to a system that lets guests choose freely from among a wide variety. In this way- each guest may design a customized tasting and savor the moment while comfortably seated in one of the lounges leather armchairs. With its own private terrace.

Le Corot

Served Meals: Lunch, Dinner Inventive- gourmet cuisine in which the young chief- Remi Chambard- cultivates a beautiful classicism in being in keeping with his time- freshness- lightness and estheticism distinguish the plates. The elegant Le Corot restaurant- which received his first Michelin star in 2014- opening onto the gardens- is perfect for both intimate dinners and business entertaining. The rotunda restaurant-decorated in marron glace tones offers a display of the cultural heritage of Les Etangs de Corot.
