Situated in an elevated position above Taormina, life in Hotel Villa Ducale revolves around its stunning terrace. From here you can enjoy the most wonderful views across the Taormina coastline and Mount Etna and relax over a gorgeous Sicilian buffet breakfast, created daily with only the freshest of produce. This romantic retreat blends authentic charm with modern designer style and staff who make every stay extra special.
Dive into the sparkling waters of the hotel’s swimming pool, or head out to one of the quiet beaches nearby. But the views are the feather in this hotel’s cap. Gaze at Giardini Naxos Bay, the Straits of Messina and Mount Etna from your bedroom, the pool – or the panoramic terrace. Here, afternoons are made for coffee and cake, while at cocktail hour you can clink glasses and say ‘salute’ as the sun goes down and candles are lit for dinner. Hotel Villa Ducale’s fine dining restaurant spins traditional Sicilian ingredients into memorable dishes, enjoyed against a backdrop of miles of coastline, or as darkness falls, the moon reflecting on the ocean.
The ancient ‘Greek Theatre’. The picture-perfect public gardens. Taormina is brimming with historical sites and contemporary charm – and Hotel Villa Ducale is close to it all. Hop on board the hotel’s shuttle into the medieval centre one day, and to a quiet beach the next. Then there are boat rides, wine tasting sessions and private cooking lessons to enjoy. The Hotel Villa Ducale team will happily suggest sightseeing hotspots – or fix up a guided tour.
Enjoy your stay!

Keeping the heart and soul of these once aristocratic family homes very much alive, Andrea Quartucci has transformed three historic Sicilian villas into elegant escapes for the modern day traveller. Staying in Taormina with the Quartuccis means experiencing the ancient city like a local, from hopping on Andrea’s vintage Vespa to fishing in secret spots on the family boat, guests are given an authentic taste of Sicily.
our stay here was amazing, we arrived very late and jet lagged and the entire front desk staff made sure we felt comfortable. the nice gifts of local hand soap and the beautiful straw bag was a nice touch. massimo at the restaurant was hands down the best

The hotel was everything we had hoped for. Located higher in the hills away from the very busy centre of Taormina, with fantastic views of Etna and the coastline. The restaurant was excellent. As was the food. You have to try the piglet special. All the staff were wonderful (especially Max!). We stayed Read more[SPLIT]Read lessin Villa 21 and it was spacious and private, with those great views and its own little outdoor area. And the free (Mercedes) shuttle service to and from the centre was a great bonus.
