We found all the staff (on front desk, in the restaurants and the service staff) so charming and helpful. They made the stay relaxed and enjoyable. The hotel is spacious and calm - ideal for relaxing by the pool. The food and wine are superb and we enjoyed the wine tasting dinner in the square. Read more[SPLIT]Read less Our only disappointment was that the beach was further away than we thought and it was dififcult to actually get into the sea at the associate beach club, Tamerici, because of the dangerous rocks - there was certainly no 'sandy shore" as mentioned on the website. The shuttle also mentioned on the website only left a very few times a day and you had to book a space as it only carried 6 people. We paid to go to another club, where the experience was much better (if pricey). Perhaps, as a 5 star hotel, it needs to think about an association with another beach club and providing a continuous shuttle service.

I'll Melograno was our final stop on our multi week Italy trip, and all-things Puglia in June 2022. The hotel built in a centuries old Maserie, was a sprawling collection of white washed buildings nestled in 300 year old olive trees. We opted for a superior room with an outdoor patio area, complete with Read more[SPLIT]Read lessa table and built in bench covered in cushions. The pool , with enough lounge chairs for everyone staying. Breakfast was the best of all our travels, with an assortment of fresh fruit, home baking, cheeses, charcuterie and ala crate eggs. The setting was perfect for exploring Monopoli (10 min drive to the beaches), Alberobello (25 minute drive into the hills), Polignano a Mare (an ancient city built on the rocks). What sets I'll Melograno apart from other places we stayed, is the staff and services. Staff friendly and professional, and service staff attention to detail making our stay special. This would be a perfect location for a remote event or wedding. We will be back!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Il Melograma and especially loved its convenient location to the area’s sights not least being only a few minutes from the wonders of Monopoli. Our junior suite was very generous in size, had a sun baked terrace, well furnished including with Read more[SPLIT]Read lesstwo bathrooms and probably the best showers of our near one month in the region. The room was also equipped with a fabulous coffee machine and missed nothing apart from an iron! Service was generally excellent from reception’s Ilenia to the pool guard and housekeeping really outstanding including a comprehensive turn down service. Breakfast was included in our stay and was again fabulous. In addition to a generous buffet, fresh juices, machine coffee and eggs/bacon were available to order at no further costs. Iliaria at the breakfast service was incredibly charming and obliging. Unfortunately the male servers at breakfast were too often arrogantly unhelpful and should take a leaf out of their female colleagues. In my view the masseria offers great value and we would unhesitatingly return and recommend.
