Overlooking a natural lagoon on the northern coast of Mauritius, Paradise Cove keeps marine conservation at its core. The resort actively contributes towards the Marine Discovery Centre in Anse-la-Raie, dedicated to the protection of the surrounding waters and sharing marine best practices for visitors through educational activities, including regular beach clean-ups and glass-bottom boat tours at the local Voluntary Marine Conservation Area. Additionally, the resort has eliminated single-use plastic in the guest experience (swapping slippers made from plastic to coconut straw), offers rental bicycles to guests, uses solar water heaters, and places wooden dice in each room with energy-saving eco tips – with an on-site sustainability champion working with the group’s ‘green’ staff on ongoing projects, tracking the resort’s progress in its detailed sustainability report.

As a celebration of Mauritian craftsmanship, Paradise Cove runs a dedicated space within the hotel’s boutique for guests to discover and purchase locally and sustainably produced accessories, including bracelets, candles, and clothes made using natural fabrics. At check-out, guests can contribute towards the Green Attitude Foundation which helps support local artists by funding cultural projects including the ‘Konpoz to Lamizik’ music competition. The hotel also has several cultural and historical sites on its doorstep, including Château de Labourdonnais and Pamplemousses Botanical Garden which guests are encouraged to visit.

Through ongoing collaborations with small, local entrepreneurs, Paradise Cove strives to benefit the island community wherever possible. Locally grown fruits and vegetables are purchased from Mauritian farmers in bulk and in reusable crates, while cocktails are made using agricultural sugarcane rum and the all-inclusive package features an innovative local wine made from litchi fruit. Guests are encouraged to download the Paradise Cove geolocation app pre-arrival which will help them discover off-the-beaten-track Mauritius – alongside locally run tours from private pirogue (traditional canoe) island-hopping expeditions with a local sea operator to Mauritian cooking classes which include a local recipe to take home.

Served Meals: Dinner The Cove seafood restaurant overlooks the cove and is nestled among coconut trees. The tables are set under gazebos built in wood and wrought iron with nicely decorated floors. Natural materials are in total harmony with the lagoon.

The Dining Room

Served Meals: Breakfast, Dinner The Dining Room is the main restaurant and is spacious and bathed in sunlight with opening on to a wide terrace overlooking the swimming pool. A generous and appetizing buffet offered at breakfast and for the main course at dinner time while entrees and desserts are served at table. The decor is a mix of white and wooden furniture with dashes of bright colour which creates a relaxed atmosphere.

Served Meals: Dinner Sophisticated yet cosy. XO takes us on a different voyage around healthy sushi. Discover and enjoy subtle blends of herbs or spices and fruits.
