We had a SNAFU with an Air BnB and had to find accomodation on Easter week in Lisbon. We were lucky enough to find availibilty at the Pousada for our family. From the welcoming arrival at the end of a hectic day of shuffling baggage to the rooms, to the breakfast, everything was fantastic. The Pousada Lisboa, discreetly hidden in one corner of the Praça de Comércio, is a jewel. We stayed twice, bookending our two-week trip to Spain. Both times, our room was grand, the service smooth and prompt, and the meals were ample and diverse. Our only discomforts were minor: after closing the bathroom Read more[SPLIT]Read lessdoor, it opens by itself a minute later, the hotel's restaurant is meat focused (not our preference), and Uber's app thinks the hotel is a block away (we managed by guiding the driver verbally). When our travels pass through Lisbon, Pousada Lisboa will be first on our list.

We enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel, the art work, the beauty of the common areas, very kind and available staff, superb breakfast. Rooms, however, were smaller than expected and the swimming pool was undergoing maintenance on the day we wanted to use it - in August high season.

The hotel location is very convenient, right on the square. The staff were very attentive and caring and made the stay very special .The rooms have an unusual configuration with the glass bathroom as part of the bedroom. Not ideal if you are sharing with a friend and want some privacy.

The hotel is absolutely impeccable. Although the location is in a very busy area, the rooms are virtually soundproof. The staff is most helpful and came through with a dinner reservation that was close to impossible to get. A stay is a must when visiting Lisbon.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the guest relations staff met us in the lobby and showed us to our room. The breakfast was extensive and excellent and the whole hotel was elegant and comfortable. Only the bar area did not seem to match the rest of the hotel in ambiance and service. The gym is small, but adequate.

The Pestana Pousada de Lisboa was a great choice for our final days in Portugal. It is a beautiful hotel that contains a lot of striking art work on loan from the museum in Lisbon. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom had an excellent shower. We did not eat at the restaurant but it sure looked good.
