Villa Spalletti Trivelli may be just moments from the Trevi Fountain, but it’s a world away from the hubbub of Italy’s capital. This intimate hideaway has just 15 luxury bedrooms and individually styled suites, giving visitors a taste of aristocratic grandeur. With a Roman Baths-inspired wellness centre too, it’s as relaxing as it is refined. After a day exploring, you can sit back and unwind in the Sauna or the Turkish baths.

The exterior is classically Italian. Then behind the door wait warmly lit drawing rooms filled with antiques and artworks to welcome you inside. Yet Villa Spalletti Trivelli has a surprise up its boutique hotel sleeve. Up on the rooftop is an exclusive space with shaded loungers, bar, Jacuzzis and soothing music – the place to be as the sun sets over the Eternal City.

Pouring ourselves drinks at the open bar in the Villa's elegant and beautiful living room; returning to our "home-from-home" after visiting the property several times over the past decade; and being treated like family by the welcoming and knowledgable staff.

Very nice hotel located in a quiet area but at walking distance from most touristic places. The villa is superb with a pleasant garden and comfortable sitting rooms to enjoy a drink . Rooftop when the weather is fine. Staff is professional and efficient. In our view one of the best in Rome!

Loved this hotel; welcoming arrival with a glass of fizz to check in lovely. Very central albeit on a hill still did not deter, 3mins from trevi fountain, 10 mins from all other tourist sites.
