If all the world’s a stage, England is surely one of its stars. Search out the finest in contemporary art, theatre and dining in London. Live your period drama daydreams on a country house escape. Or venture further still to rugged hills, tangled woodlands, and blissfully remote coastal hideaways.

When To Go

England is a destination for all seasons (sometimes experienced all in one day). Set a slower pace for your city break by visiting in winter – or use the chilly weather as an excuse to lounge by the fire at a cosy pub. Spring and autumn bring the countryside to life, with hedgerows stuffed with new flowers or woodlands ablaze with autumn colours. Summer brings light, late evenings to enjoy. Whether that’s with a walk on the beach as the shadows lengthen or conversation over al fresco drinks at the latest London hotspot.
